Vizekanzler (Österreich)
Der Vizekanzler vertritt den Bundeskanzler während dessen Abwesenheit.
Diese Vertretungsbefugnis wird durch die österreichische Bundesverfassung im Art. 69(2) geregelt:
- Der Vizekanzler ist zur Vertretung des Bundeskanzlers in dessen gesamtem Wirkungsbereich berufen. Sind der Bundeskanzler und der Vizekanzler gleichzeitig verhindert, betraut der Bundespräsident ein Mitglied der Bundesregierung mit der Vertretung des Bundeskanzlers.
