Meat Loaf

Ihm gelang es 1977 mit dem Album "Bat out of Hell" eines der meistverkauften Alben der Rockmusik zu veröffentlichen. Wie schon bei "Bat out of Hell" arbeitete Meat Loaf auch beim Nachfolgealbum "Dead Ringer" mit dem Stückeschreiber Jim Steinmann zusammen, konnte an den Erfolg jedoch nur bedingt anknüpfen. Es folgte ein durchschnittliches, straightes Rockalbum ("Midnight at the Lost & Found").

Mit der Veröffentlichung von "Bat out of Hell II" feierte er 1993 ein grandioses Comeback und wurde für den Song "I would do anything for love (but I won't do that)" mit einem Grammy geehrt. Drei Jahre später veröffentlichte er das Album "Welcome to the Neighbourhood" und gönnte sich dann eine musikalische Pause bis 2003, als "Couldn't have said it better" erschien.

Als Schauspieler trat er bereits vor der Veröffentlichung von "Bat out of Hell" in dem Film Rocky Horror Picture Show auf, seither ist er in einer Vielzahl von Filmen (u.a. "Fight Club") in Erscheinung getreten.
